The SVG Ventures THRIVE Award acknowledges the Enko team’s accomplishments discovering and developing safe and novel small molecules across all indications – herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.
We’re proud to share that this week SVG Ventures|THRIVE honored Enko in its 2023 THRIVE Top 50 AgTech and FoodTech Reports in recognition of our work transforming the agrifood value chain toward a more sustainable future. The annual award, given out during the concurrent World Agri-Tech Summit, features companies that are pushing the boundaries of agtech innovation and technology.
“Over 8,500 startups around the world were considered and THRIVE, along with its industry partners, have selected the top one percent” said Gary Schaefer, Enko’s Vice President of Corporate Development. “This honor acknowledges the Enko team’s accomplishments discovering and developing safe and novel small molecules across all indications – herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.”
John Hartnett, CEO of SVG Ventures|THRIVE noted, "We believe that the future of our planet relies on transforming the way we produce and consume food. By investing in innovative solutions that revolutionize agriculture and food production systems, we can tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges of our time.”
“We’re energized to work alongside so many exciting innovators in this space because the food system desperately needs new solutions. Responding to these challenges requires new technology and cross-industry collaborations,” said Jacqueline Heard, Enko Founder and CEO. “The [World Agri-Tech] Summit is a perfect place to begin many new conversations and alliances.”
A major discussion topic at the summit was stabilizing and securing our global food supply.
Gary noted, “This conference is always a great place where innovators, investors and technologies intersect. There is significant focus on capital flows, the fuel for innovation in the sector given our current economic environment. It was also amazing to see where technological advances are happening that will ensure a sustainable future of Ag across digital agronomy, genomics, equipment and crop inputs.”
“We’re grateful to SVG Ventures|THRIVE for recognizing Enko on the THRIVE Top 50 list and to all those who have led meaningful discussions at this week’s event. It has been a unique opportunity to synthesize many perspectives on creating a durable, resilient and sustainable global food supply,” said Jacqueline Heard.
